Axiles Bionics is a Brussels-based health-tech company founded 2019, specializing in AI-driven, robotic ankle-foot prostheses to restore natural gait for lower-limb amputees as well as other smart bionic solutions. As a VUB BruBotics spin-off, they combine over 17+ years of robotics research with advanced biomechanics to create smart, responsive mobility solutions for the future.
Axiles Bionics aims to revolutionize the prosthetics industry, moving away from rigid, traditional devices toward intelligent systems that adapt to the user’s intent. They already distribute their first CE and FDA approved passive “Lunaris” ankle-foot product as they plan to launch a revolutionary active, bionic ankle-foot prothesis in the coming years in addition to other products in the pipeline.
